Alaska. From this flat, high ice plain at an elevation oi 1875 m fall the Llewellyn, Tulsequah, and Matthes glaciers. Our most interesting observation about this ice plateau is that the present-day surface ice movement is largely independ-ent of the subglacial topology, as revealed by geophysi-cal measurements.
