Bering Sea Task Force, participated at Salmon Summits, and spoke on Alaska’s fishing economy to many national and international groups. She toured the East Coast for the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), promoting Alaska’s seafood, and testified before the U.S. Department of Agriculture to have wild salmon labeled organic. As a state legislator, she helped organize the Fish Caucus, worked to resolve the Pacific Salmon Treaty dispute, and promoted legislative changes to support Alaska’s fishing industry.
