One of the primary components of Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) program has been the long-term ocean observations at both the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study (BATS) site in the western North Atlantic and the Hawaii Ocean Time-series (HOT) site in the central North Pacific.
