We hope you can take time to enjoy the great natural beauty of this city and region. The time of the conference coincides with the annual migration of orca whale pods to this portion of Puget Sound. If you are lucky, you may be able to whale watch from the waterfront. Despite difficult economic times, we have a wide diversity of people coming to the conference from all over the world. Every continent but Antarctica is represented here. Bringing together colleagues working in the field of LCA and LCM and their application is sure to help us all see our work in a broader context. Perhaps we can forge relationships that will be lasting, and will help us all to make the world a little bit more sustainable. This binder is arranged to facilitate you getting the information you need to make best use of the conference. A figure showing the conference at a glance is on the back cover.
