Summary: | There are tested the influences of the El Nino – Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) events on the climate anomalies in Romania, using the regression equations and the composite analysis of the stratified situations, function of El Nino, La Nina and NAO (positive, neutral or negative). The ENSO events are quantified both through the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) and the Trans Nino Index (TNI). The predictands consist in anomalies of temperature and precipitation from 31 and respectively 33 weather stations in Romania, during the period 1950-1997. These stations have a relatively uniform distribution on both sides of the Carpathian Mountains, with several stations placed at altitudes higher |
