Geological studies around Aston Bay and Limestone Island, Stanwell-Fletcher morphic basement, the stratigraphy, sedimentology, and palaeontology of the Aston and Lake, and Creswell Bay in Somerset Island include the structure of the Pre-Cambrian meta-Hunting formations, the Palaeozoic rocks, and the younger strata north of Stanwell-Fletcher Lake.
