Description
Summary:The paper reviews the available information on fisheries, community structure and trophic relationships in the West Greenland marine ecosystem. In an attempt to evaluate the relationships between the dominant species and fisheries, a mass balance model using the Ecopath approach was constructed for the West Greenland shelf (0-1,500m) for 1997. The present report outlines the input data used to obtain a balanced Ecopath model, forming the foundation for future simulations.
