Lepidoptera) is a subarctic crambine moth, which is very characteristic for forest-tundra and peatland habitats of the northern Holarctic region. The species is monovoltine and its larvae feed on wetland grasses (Molinia). The local populations of the Bohemian Forest Mountains represent a highly unique isolated phenomenon of the subarctic fauna in Central Europe associ-ated with montane oligotrophic peatlands. In the Bohemian Forest Mountains, the adults of P. tianc.atQ.ila fly from late May until late July. The phenology depends on the altitude of the peat bog localities (between 740 and 1200 m a. s.l.) and the corresponding climatic conditions.
