| Summary: | In light of overwhelming evidence indicating that obtaining a formal education and being engaged in school are strongly correlated with health (Raphael, 1996; Nutbeam et al., 1993), as well as social and economic well-being (Radwanski, 1987), educational disengagement among Aboriginal students has become a pressing health and development issue in Canada.
