Description
Summary:Evie Witten on eight days from 21-29 July (one replicate count on each day). In addition we recorded ‘boom or bust ’ productivity of black-legged kittiwakes for 97 nests on 28 July. Kittiwakes were doing well, with>40 % of nests still active. Murres apparently completely failed in 2005 (< 1 % of birds on the cliffs had eggs and no chicks were observed). Here we summarize historical counts from Hall Island with detailed population and productivity information from 2005 and a list of incidental bird observations from both islands.
