The cysts from great tits muscles were morphological1ysimilar to thosefoundin naturalinfections.The thin-walledcysts containedbanana-shapedcystozoites6.9 x 1.8(5.9-8.5x 1.3-2.3)!lmin size.The natural life cycle of this Sarcocystis species involves goshawks and great tits. The relation of this species to S. accipitris is discussed. |
