A total of 65 villages are authorized under section 305(i)(1)(D) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act) to participate in the program. These communities participate in the CDQ Program through six nonprofit corporations (CDQ groups) that manage and administer the CDQ allocations, investments, and economic development projects.
