ATMOSPHERIC CO 2, OCEAN CHEMISTRY, AND MECHANISMS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

I. Recall: Ice core evidence for changes in atmospheric CO 2 A. Pre-anthropogenic pCO2 was about 280 ppmV B. Glacial pCO2 was about 190 ppmV. Five Antarctic ice cores give same number. Greenland cores agree tolerably well, but their high dust loading and reaction with CO2 leads to some problems.
