Description
Summary:欧文抄録:p.99 This is a project report for database construction for publishing Itelmen dictionary. This project is supported by National Science Foundation, "Integrated Audio-Visual Documentation of Itelmen"(2014-2014, BSC #1065619) and "RAPID – Definitive Dictionary for All Itelmen: Urgent managing of the lexical data archives of Aleksandr Pavlovich Volodin" (2012, ARC #1155973). Itelmen is an endangered language spoken in Kamchatka, Russia, and is considered to be a Chukotko-Kamchatkan Language. This report presents how the Itelmen lexical database are made by using FLEx(FieldWorks Language Explorer), a software developed by SIL International. The main contents of the database are lexicon from Itelmen school dictionary (Volodin and Khaloimova 2001) and lexicon collected by Aleksandr Volodin, Russian linguist who was engaged in studies of Itelmen intensively in the Soviet Era. Itelmen lexical data are conserved in the form of manuscript card slips at Institute for Linguistic Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg. We illustrate in this paper how the database construction and dictionary layout are configured by FLEx in detail.
