To achieve this, I use exhaustive in situ surveys in combination with terrestrial, airborne and spaceborne remote sensing and spatial data science analytical methods. My dissertation is subdivided into three themes, namely: (Theme 1) Greenland Ice Sheet hydrologic processes; (Theme 2) surface water storage, dynamics and transport in heterogeneous Arctic lake-river-wetland-floodplain systems; and (Theme 3) development and application of novel geospatial technologies for measuring surface water systems.
