Description
Summary:International audience The ongoing international research project “Landscape ontology: semantics, semiotics and geographic modelling” (№ 15-18-20047, funded by the Russian Science Foundation) which started in 2015 in North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk (Russia) aims to analyse representation of local landscape spaces in the human mind and to create mental maps representing a new level of knowledge and conceptualisation about dynamics of landscape development and co-evolution of man and environment. In the context of holistic understanding and a cross-cutting nature of the problem and possible approaches of multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity in the field of scientific research it is necessary to use the mode of gradual integration and interdisciplinary approach. The aim of the article is to review and evaluate suitability of possible methods of integration and interaction in studies of landscape ontology and to work out a model of integration for this specific type of landscape survey. The research methods used are qualitative methods, namely: a case study, analysis and synthesis. The main result of the research is the model of integration for the studies of landscape ontology which encompasses possible ways of integration of different disciplines through: the description of the main notions/concepts; the formulation of the main research questions/hypothetical statements; the inclusion of other methods or specialists; the research design and organisation.
