International audience This article concentrates on the development from scratch of a written culture by the Tundra Nenets, after some failed attempts bu the Orthodox missionaries. It shows the Soviet policy and its consequences and focuses on the first period of Tundra Nenets literature, the 1930s, analysing the way the Nenets writers attempted to conciliate their traditional worldview with the new ideology they were living in. Cet article se concentre sur le développement ab nihilo d'une culture écrite chez les Nénetses de la toundra, après quelques tentativs peu concluantes des missionnaires orthodoxes. Il montre la politique soviétique et ses conséquences, pour se concentrer sur la première période de la littérature nénetse de la toundra, en analysant comment les premiers écrivains essayent de concilier leur vision du monde traditionnelle avec la nouvelle idéologie dans laquelle ils vivent.
