It was incorporated as a Canadian company in 1903. Plants were established throughout Canada and some of the products included: air brakes, household appliances, and steam or gas turbines. In 1995, Westinghouse Electric, bought the CBS Broadcasting Company. The names was changed to CBS Corporation and media became the focal point of the company. In 1998, parts of the company were sold to Siemens. The company was renamed Siemens Westinghouse and subsequently became a division of Siemens Canada Ltd. Westinghouse Presents was played on the radio on Sundays (Saturdays in Newfoundland). John Fisher “Mr. Canada” delivered specially prepared 15 minute reports which highlighted the Canadian scene. The musical background to Westinghouse Presents was provided by the Don Wright Chorus. 1/2 box of correspondence, clippings and program notes and transcripts regarding the Westinghouse Company and Westinghouse Presents.
