Carle’s illustrations are beautiful as always and they capture not only the animals themselves, but their climates and habitats as well. Martin Jr. highlights a variety of endangered animals to raise awareness and even introduces a metaphorical illustration of the moon as a dreaming child. Fans of the previous Brown Bear books will not be disappointed with this new addition.
