Datasets include sampling information about the stations in Sept-Îles (Québec, Canada) sampled during three campaigns (2014, 2016, and 2017). Data includes density and taxonomy of benthic invertebrate species, with physico-chemical parameters and heavy metal concentrations at the surface of the sediment. The main research questions were to: describe coastal habitats and macrobenthic communities at Sept-Îles, in order to provide the first benthic ecological survey of the area evaluate the links between communities and abiotic variables (including heavy metals) detect the presence of similar benthic assemblages, along with their relationships with habitats evaluate how macrofaunal size range will influence community descriptions and relationships with habitat parameters Specific details Variables, units and files are explained in files README.yml (this file is a basic text file formatted with a YAML language) and README.txt .
