第4回企画展示「フクロウが運んできたもの」展の記録 : 構想から展示まで

2017年7月から10月まで「フクロウが運んできたもの」と題する企画展示をおこなった。この展示の内容は八ヶ岳におけるフクロウの食性と生息地に関する論文内容をもとに、関連の標本類などを展示したものである。2つのケースを用い、ひとつにはフクロウの概略を把握できるものとし、もうひとつは分析の内容を解説できるものとした。このほか「フクロウ・ギャラリー」と称する写真展示の空間を作った。展示のほか、分析をするワークショップを3回開催し、セミナーもおこなった。本展示は大学と学外組織との協働の好例となった。 An exhibition entitled as “What an owl brought” was held at The Life Museum of Azabu University from July to October, 2017. The contents were based on a scientific article on the food habits of the Ural owl (Strix uralensis) at Mt Yatsugatake. The paper showed that the foods were biased to voles at the pastures while they were biased to wood ice in the forest. The exhibition showed specimens and models of owls, bones of rodents, and photos. Besides the exhibition, the museum prepared three workshops where participants analyzed the owls’ remains left in the hand-made nest boxes. A seminar was also held. This exhibition seems to be a good example of cooperation between a university and outside organizations.
