Summary: | Here we present results from reection seismic measurements at the Halvfarryggen icedome, Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica. The measurements indicate numerous internalreectors in the lower half of the ice column. Our analysis shows that changes in COF arethe most likely cause for these reectors, being a prominent example for ice-divide COFas predicted by the models. The results have implications for flowmodelling at local domes, for estimates of the integrity of ice cores resp. stationarity ofdomes and for seismics as a suitable tool for revealing changes in COF over larger areas, especially when combined with new seismic approaches. |
