For 2022, participants of each competition class were challenged to design and build ROVs to complete tasks relating to the three following categories: Marine Renewable Energy, Offshore Aquaculture and Blue Carbon, and Antarctica Then and Now: Endurance22 and MATE Floats!This manual provides all the rules, requirements, and guidelines for teams competing in the Pioneer Class of the competition. A table of contents and the following sections are included: Overview, Product Demonstration, Product Demonstration Prop Building Instructions and Photos, Vehicle Design and Building Specifications, Competition Rules, Engineering and Communication, and Submission Guidelines and Key Deadlines.Additional manuals and competitor technical reports from the 2022 MATE ROV competition are available to view separately.
