Description
Summary:Opinion No. 79-181 (R79-142). 5 pages (PDF version) file size: 267.75 KB. Letter to James H. Landis, Deputy County Attorney, Yavapai County Attorney's Office, Prescott, concurring with the first two points given in an opinion by the deputy attorney to the Beaver Creek School District concluding that a gift of real property or personal property could be used to construct a building addition only by the vote of the electorate pursuant to Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 15-442 (A). assuming that such gifts did not contradict constitutional authority and that a school district did not have the authority to accept a gift of cash without the requirement of the election. The opinion disagreed with the deputy attorney's opinion about the designation of funds from the cash gifts.
