Description
Summary:"The purpose of this work is to identify the relevant EBM work that the Arctic Council working groups have completed or are currently undertaking. The objective is to assemble a compilation of the working groups’ EBM-related activities. It is not meant to be a comprehensive overview of all of the work being undertaken by the working groups, but rather is meant to provide information on the key initiatives and projects related to EBM in which the working groups have been engaged, or are currently undertaking. There are six Arctic Council Working Groups: 1. ConservationofArcticFloraandFauna(CAFF); 2. ProtectionoftheArcticMarineEnvironment(PAME); 3. SustainableDevelopmentWorkingGroup(SDWG); 4. Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program (AMAP); 5. Emergencies Prevention, Preparedness and Response (EPPR); and 6. Arctic Contaminants Action Program (ACAP). Of these six groups, and for the purposes of this intersessional paper, the focus will be on the four groups which have undertaken particularly significant work related to EBM:, and PAME, AMAP, SDWG and CAFF" /./
