Summary:Audio - This is a discussion of early Athabasca life with Mr. Frank Falconer Jr., Mr. Charles Stewart (Buster) Bissell, Mr. Fred Wallin (once Town Foreman), and Mrs. Laura C. Green (Nee Goupil). This discussion ranges from the installation of the water system at the start of the twentieth century to the bridge being built over the river in 1952. The importance of the river and the various businesses that relied on it are touched upon. In this wide ranging discussion the results of disease and epidemics are mentioned along with the early education system and sports rivalries. Many other anecdotes of early Athabasca life are mentioned as well Fairly good recording, however remarks made by Mrs. Laura Green and Mr. Fred Wallin are not easily heard.
