Summary: | This data set lists over 300 organisms that were first described from locations either on the Antarctic continent, or on islands immediately to the north of the Antarctic Peninsula. Sub-Antarctic islands are not included. Given are the organism name, its taxonomic position, the reference to the first description, the source of the record (contact author for details), whether the organism was a fossil, and whether the initial description was from within the Australian Antarctic Territory.
