Summary: | Dataloggers were installed in a number of locations inside and outside Mawson's Huts at Cape Denison. The dataloggers measure temperature and relative humidity for the purpose of helping gauge corrosivity in the huts. The data are used to assess whether the removal of ice and snow from inside the Hut is affecting the internal microclimate and, therefore, the condition of the building fabric and other artefacts. Currently the data are downloaded by the Research Centre for Materials Conservation and the Built Environment at the Australian Museum, Sydney. Copies of the data are stored in the Australian Antarctic Data Centre. The fields in this dataset are: Date Time Temperature Relative Humidity Thermocouple Site |
