Summary:The US Navy during Operation Highjump carried out the earliest comprehensive acquisitions in 1947-48. This operation included an intensive program of trimetrigon aerial photography acquisitions of the whole of the coastline of Antarctica and some inland areas. 50 CDs worth of images have been scanned.
