The dataset was compiled from papers entered into Block's bibliography of invertebrate occurrences in the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic. The dataset provides a comprehensive list of all terrestrial invertebrates recorded from the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic (at that time). Data were entered into an Excel spreadsheet, which contains approximately 3500 entries. This dataset forms part of the work completed for Australian Antarctic Science (AAS) project 1146 (ASAC_1146) and the RiSCC program, AAS project 1015 (ASAC_1015). Papers from the Block Bibliography are available as a separate collection in the Australian Antarctic Division Library. This dataset has also been incorporated into the biodiversity database, which can be found at the provided URL.
