Summary: | Taxonomic studies will utilise primarily the existing AAD collections (approximately 25000) from the herbarium (ADT) with supplemental collections from Antarctica (particularly Victoria Land) and subantarctic islands. Identifications will be verified against Type specimens and other authentic specimens and the results published in scientific journals or in a series of Handbooks. Original specimens are housed in Antarctic Division Herbarium (ADT), collection and identification data entered in AAD Biodiversity Database. This is an ongoing project. |
