High-fidelity instruments deployed in Antarctica enabled new details to be imaged in the crust and mantle beneath the ice-covered regions crossed by the earthquake waves. The deep structure tells the story of the ongoing evolution of the tectonic plates. Work was completed as part of the SSCUA project (Seismic Structure of the Continent Under Antarctica). Overview: Contains waveform data on unix-compatible DVD for all events in the Harvard CMT catalogue (generally events greater than magnitude 5.5) occurring during instrument deployment/up time. Directory structure: /meta = raw data processing information (limited further use) /oseed = Orion recorder seed event archive Within /oseed, are service directories, and then /year/month/file.sed directories and files. Depending on data volumes the final files are either day or hour archives containing data from all stations bundled into that service directory. It may be appropriate to search several service directories for data from all stations since there can be nearly a year delay between data being recorded and uplifted.
