Reading becomes end of previous day / start of next day,Apparent consumption can be determined by subtracting the start value from the end value. Note that an adjustment factor of 17% (reduction) was introduced in the apparent consumption calculations. The foundation for this adjustment is not well documented, but was anecdotally associated with the flow meter being too close to an elbow.
