Progress Code: completed Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlanned Statement: Data source: original field data. Data processing by CMAR Data Acquisition and Processing group. A number of minor discrepancies between the port and starboard air temperature and humidity sensors were noted. The optical rain gauge was not functional during this voyage. Port humidity sensor values appeared to be erroneous, these have been adjusted and/or QCed as suspect. Due to the TSG failure there are a number of periods without salinity or waterTemp data. Depth data is no longer processed. QCed depth data can be obtained from the processed Swath dataset. Please see processing report for full details. Credit Underway data processing by A. Sarraf (CMAR). This dataset contains the Underway (UWY) data collected on Southern Surveyor voyage SS2013_V06. The voyage took place from Hobart to south-west of Tasmania 47 S and 140 E and return to Hobart to recover SOTS moorings between the 7th October and 17th October, 2013. This dataset has been processed and archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report. The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder, Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data includes atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data from "IMOS" (Integrated Marine Observing System) sensors are also included. The sensors are port and starboard radiometers and pyranometers, wind speed; rain and rainrate.
