Summary: | Original field data. This record describes data from the : Radiosounding of the atmosphere - meteorological balloons collected on the Marine National Facility RV Investigator Event voyage IN2015_E01. This was a cold-water trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 29th January and returning to Hobart on the 18th of February, 2015. The radiosounding was performed using VAISALA radiosondes: RS92-SGP and polarsondes (Murray Hamilton, Adelaide University). 10 launches in total from 43S - 65S. Acquisition software used: Digicora software. Please acknowledge Robyn Schofield, Dougal Squire and Stefanie Kremser if you use these balloon data and send publications to Robyn Schofield robyn.schofield@unimelb.edu.au. If these data form a major part of your paper (support conclusions drawn) please offer coauthorship to this science team. This data was collected on the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2015_E01. Balloon data was collected by R. Schofield, School of Earth Sciences, University of Melbourne and ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science, D. Squire, School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Melbourne, S. Kremser, Bodeker Scientific. Thank you also to D. Hocking, Monash University supplying the telemetry system and M. Haye, Bureau of Meterology for supplying balloon filling equipment. Funding and logistical support for this work was received from the Marine National Facility INV2015_E01 voyage and Australian Research Councils Centre of Excellence (CE110001028) Robyn Schofield - University of Melbourne |
