This database was largely champioined by Dave Watts when he worked at the Australian Antarctic Division - since his departure in approximately 2010, contributions to the database have considerably slowed. The biodiversity database is planned to be a reference on Antarctic and subantarctic flora and fauna collated by the Regional Sensitivity to Climate Change (RiSCC) group and developed by the Australian Antarctic Data Centre.
