Maintenance and Update Frequency: unknown Statement: All Commercial Fisheries licence holders must provide details of their fishing activities on a prescribed form. Data is received on the prescribed logbook form and is collated, processed and entered by the data entry staff. Validation is undertaken during processing and entry of forms. Data are in numerical and text format, and presented as tabulated data. Approximately 10,000 records by year. The dataset is pre-identified in the sense that the data collected is specified by PIRSA Fisheries & Aquaculture on behalf of the Minister. For further information: The data is hosted by SARDI/PIRSA on behalf of the Minister - restricted access. All data with a distinct licence count of less than 5 is confidential. From the 30th of July 2005 all charter boat operators were required to be licensed, and on the 1st August 2005 the Fisheries Management (Charter Boat Fishery) Regulations 2005 were formally introduced.
