Data processing by CMAR Data Acquisition and Processing group. A number of discrepancies between the port and starboard air temperature and humidity sensors were noted. A number of rapid temperature increases were noted for both port and starboard temperature sensors. A conductivity lag correction factor was used as part of TSG calibration. The readings from the foremast IMOSRain sensor(optical type) was notably larger than foremast funnel/siphoning type rain sensor. There were a few periods with noisy intake water temperature data that have been set to NaNs. Due to the IMOS foremast wind sensor being installed incorrectly (i.e. installation was misaligned by 180 degrees) all recorded and derived IMOS wind data are incorrect and are QCed as bad. See processing report for full details. Credit Underway data processing by A. Sarraf (CMAR). This dataset contains the Underway (UWY) data collected on Southern Surveyor voyage SS2011_V01. The voyage took place south-west of Tasmania 47 S and 140 E from the 16th April to the 25th April, 2011. This dataset has been processed and archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report. The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder, Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data includes atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data from "IMOS" (Integrated Marine Observing System) sensors are also included. The sensors are port and starboard radiometers and pyranometers, wind speed; rain and rainrate. Data are recorded at 5 second intervals ... Dataset Southern Ocean Research Data Australia (Australian National Data Service - ANDS) Southern Ocean
