Description
Summary:Progress Code: completed Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlanned Statement: Data source: original field data. Data to be processed according to current CMAR data processing standards. Salinity and water temperature data were flagged as bad and set to NaN 02:43:40 09-May-2007 to the end of the voyage 05:00 09-May-2007). The depth data was re-picked using SonarData's echoview software. Credit Underway data processing done by Bernadette Heaney. This dataset contains the Underway (UWY) data collected on Southern Surveyor Transit ST 03/2007. The transit took place from Hobart to Fremantle 30 April to 9 May 2007. This dataset has been processed and archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the voyage plan and voyage summary (as available). The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder (PDR), Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data may include atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data are recorded at 10 second intervals.
