Maintenance and Update Frequency: notPlanned Statement: Statement: Data were entered in 1997. Fish Effort and Station tables were linked and data errors were thoroughly examined and cleaned in 2006-2007. Data quality is very good. \n Credit Doherty, Peter J, Dr (Principal Investigator) Light traps were drifted at approximately 10 kilometre intervals both along a 100 km transect across the Great Barrier Reef north of Lizard Island from the mainland into the Coral Sea, and along a 50 km transect south of Lizard Island from the mainland to the edge of the continental shelf. More than 1000 samples of fish and zooplankton were taken and fish identified to species level. Additional traps were anchored around Lizard Island, Eagle Island, Linnett Reef, Martin Reef, Day Reef and fished at the same time. Sampling was done monthly during the summer of 1995-96.\n
