Summary: | Maintenance and Update Frequency: asNeeded Credit Llewellyn, Lyndon E, Dr (Custodian) This database combined data from a number of public sources to assist in analysing for climate trends in ciguatera within the South Pacific. Monthly fish poisoning rates for nations within the South Pacific from 1988 to 1996 obtained from the South Pacific Epidemiological and Health Information Services (SPEHIS). Ciguatera case rates were calculated for each year using population data from the United Nations global population database. Also within the database are the sea surface temperature records from the Hadley Centre Sea Ice and SST data set up to 2007. The sea surface temperature database has also been segmented by the South Pacific nation maritime boundaries. For analysing potential links between sea surface temperature and ciguatera intensity. |
