This series of field notebooks are written during Dave's second trip to Antarctica in the summer of 1965. David’s first expedition to Antarctica was a year long trip to Mawson Base from January 1961 to March 1962. On this trip he was a member of the first party to ascend Mount Menzies on 19th December 1961.
