Description
Summary:This dataset was developed to support research on global challenges of development and environment from the perspective of Indigenous peoples' rights and interests in areas such as land tenure, consultation and consent, industrial development, conservation and others. The data is based on a review of national constitutions consulted for key phrases, such as, “Indigenous Persons”, “First peoples”, “First Nations”, “Tribal persons”, “Traditional” or “Customary landowners”, and annual reports prepared by the International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA).
