Progress Code: completed Statement: There are problems with the temperature measurements that appear to jump at random points by about 0.1 deg C in the cast. View the associated plots to see this behaviour. Cast data has not been calibrated to the level required for oceanographic studies. It is only suitable for linking with related biological studies. Data are accurate horizontally in the 250-500 metre range, vertically in the 1-10 metre range, and temporally in the 1 minute to 1 hour range. This dataset contains CTD (conductivity, temperature, depth) data obtained from the Big ANtarctic Geological and Seismic Survey (BANGSS) 94/95 cruise of the Aurora Australis, during Feb - Apr 1995. 24 CTD casts were taken in the Prydz Bay region, as a supplement to the geology research program.
