King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) A. loripes samples were collected from Trunk Reef on the Great Barrier Reef. High–molecular weight DNA was extracted from frozen sperm and genomic DNA was recovered. Genome size and heterozygosity were estimated. RNA was extracted from a single nubbin, and quality was assessed. The genome of the coral Acropora loripes was assembled and explored for alternative cysteine biosynthesis pathways All sequencing data were deposited to NCBI and can be found under the BioProject accession PRJNA660608.
