Description
Summary:Maintenance and Update Frequency: asNeeded Statement: Data source: original field data. Nutrient samples were analysed using segmented flow SEAL AA3 and results are in µmol/L. In-house methods M1 V01, M2 V01, M3 V01, M4 V03 were used to analyse nutrients. Salinity samples were measured on a Guildline Autosal 8400B instrument operated in accordance with its technical manual. The measured value is recorded with an OSIL data logger. Dissolved Oxygen concentrations were analysed using Scripps UV titrator and software, measured in ml/L and converted to µmol/L. Dissolved oxygen was analysed using in-house method M5 V02. All data were processed with HyPro 5.7. Note that nutrient data decimal places have changed within the CSV file: silicate is now 1 decimal place, nitrite is 3 decimal places and NOx (nitrate + nitrite), phosphate and ammonium are 2 decimal places. Previously values below the detection limit were set to zero; these values are now displayed as measured, even if that is a negative value. Salinity and Oxygen Data are displayed to 3 decimal places. Data processing notes are in the processing report (in2021_v01_HYD_ProcessingReport.pdf). Credit The data was processed by Peter Hughes & Merinda McMahon (CSIRO NCMI). This record describes Hydrology (HYD) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2021_V01, titled: "Quantifying krill abundance for krill monitoring and management off the Australian Antarctic Territory." The voyage took place between January 29 and March 25, 2021 departing from Hobart (TAS) and arriving in Hobart. . Water samples collected during the voyage were analysed in the ship’s hydrochemistry laboratory for nutrients, dissolved oxygen, and salinity. Five nutrients were determined: silicate, phosphate, nitrate + nitrite, nitrite and ammonium. Certified reference materials for nutrients in seawater (RMNS) were within 3% of their certified values. CTD deployment versus measured RMNS values are listed in Appendix 8.2 Missing and suspect hydrology data ...
