IMOS samples are stored at the EcoSciences Precinct, Dutton Park, QLD . The historical and NRS samples are stored in formalin. The AusCPR silks are fixed in formalin and then preserved in PGP (Phenoxypropolene glycol). Every fourth segment (Segments 1:5:9:13 etc) are used for the zooplankton analysis and are destroyed when measuring biomass. The other samples are archived and some are available for use by other researchers on application. Credit The data was collected in part by the following vessels: Diamantina, Derwent Hunter, Courageous and Gascoyne, and by coastal stations. Credit The O&A Marine Plankton Collection comprises of historical zooplankton samples dating back to the 1940s. The collection also includes Phytoplankton and zooplankton samples collected by the Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) Australian Continuous Plankton Recorder survey (AusCPR) and Zooplankton samples from the IMOS National Reference Stations program. The collection is housed at the EcoSciences Precinct Credit Dutton Park Credit QLD. The O&A Marine Plankton Collection comprises of historical zooplankton samples collected between 1940 - 1996.
