Description
Summary:These habitats were delineated using the following input variables: Degree days (-5 degrees), annual solar radiation, slope, elevation, ice melt and rugosity. These input variables were utilized in a unsupervised fuzzy c-mean classification to delineate 8 habitats on a 10km grid covering the entire ice-free area of the Antarctic continent. The shapefile provided is stored in a Polar Stereographic projection with true scale at 71 degrees south. The numbers refer to the different habitats.
