These things, which were imported, functioned among the taiga population. They didn't use them according to their main function. On the surface of mirrors the mythoritual characters were engraved, and they were used as objects of cult rituals. The article is devoted to the interpretation of mythological images and the engravings. For the solution of this task, the author compares the images with folklore traditions of the Ob Ugrians. The next step is the consideration of the engravings in view of the Indo-Iranian parallels. The main attention is paid to the detection of the mythological images associated with Farr. Farr was the embodiment of the divine help, the effulgence over head. In Iranian, and, probably, in Ugric tradition it was presented in the form of tongues of fire. On the engravings of the Early Iron Age the drawing of Farr was associated with the image of a mythical bird with three pointed prongs on the head, on medieval engravings - with the figure of a warrior in the crown of the three peaked prongs. Эти изделия, являвшиеся предметом импорта, функционировали в среде таежного населения, которое не использовало их по основному назначению. На поверхность зеркал наносились гравированные изображения мифоритуального характера, и они функционировали в качестве предметов культовой практики.
