Summary: | The Arctic Region Climate System Model (ARCSyM, Lynch et al 1995) has been developed for studies of ocean-ice-atmosphere and land-atmosphere interactions in the high latitudes on seasonal to interannual timescales. It was developed from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Regional Climate Model Version 2 (RegCM2, Giorgi et al. 1993), with changes intended to enhance the performance of the model at high latitudes, and to enable studies of the coupled system. More detailed information on the ARCSyM model including detailed parameterizations, model code and publications describing and utilizing ARCSyM may be obtained from the following web site: (http://cires.colorado.edu/arcsym/) It is possible to obtain monthly means as well as higher resolution daily and 6 hourly time steps.
